1. Who we are
Offrd ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered job search platform available at offrd.net. We are operated as an independent product by Srivathsan Chinnakonda, based in Chennai, India.

2. What data we collect
2a. Data you provide directly
- Account information — your name and email address when you sign up via Google OAuth or email/password
- Resume content — your resume text or PDF when you upload it for AI parsing. This is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers
- Payment information — we do not store payment card details. Payments are processed via Stripe (international) or Razorpay (India) and governed by their privacy policies
- Communications — emails you send us at our support address
2b. Data collected automatically (only with consent)
- Usage analytics — via Google Analytics 4, only if you accept our cookie banner. This includes pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns. IP addresses are anonymised
- Session data — stored in your browser's sessionStorage for authentication purposes only. Cleared when you close the browser
2c. Data we do NOT collect
- Your phone number
- Your physical address
- Your resume content on our servers
- Sensitive personal data (race, religion, health, biometrics)
- Financial account details

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes. Ever.
5. Your rights
Under GDPR (EU/UK users)
- Right to access — request a copy of your personal data
- Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your account and all data
- Right to portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Right to withdraw consent — withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing your browser localStorage
Under CCPA (California users)
- Right to know — what personal information we collect and how we use it
- Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale — we do not sell personal information
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights
Under India DPDP Act 2023
- Right to information — know what data we process
- Right to correction and erasure — correct or delete your data
- Right to grievance redressal — raise complaints with our Data Protection Officer
- Right to nominate — nominate another person to exercise rights on your behalf

6. Cookies
We use a cookie consent banner on offrd.net. Analytics cookies are only set after you explicitly click "Accept analytics". You can:
- Accept — enables Google Analytics 4 (anonymised, no ads)
- Decline — no analytics cookies are set. The app still works fully
- Change your mind — clear your browser's localStorage for offrd.net to see the banner again
We use strictly necessary cookies/localStorage for authentication and app functionality regardless of your analytics choice. These cannot be disabled as the app cannot function without them.
7. Data retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
- Resume data — stored only in your browser. Cleared when you clear browser data. We hold no copy
- Analytics data — retained by Google Analytics for 14 months (GA4 default). You can request deletion via privacy@offrd.net
- Payment records — retained for 7 years as required by tax law
8. Data security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, Supabase Row Level Security for database access, and API key encryption. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Please use a strong password and do not share your account credentials.
9. Children's privacy
Offrd is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@offrd.net and we will delete it immediately.
10. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States (Supabase, Anthropic, Google, Stripe). These transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate safeguards as required by GDPR.
11. Changes to this policy
We will notify you of material changes by email (if you have an account) or by posting a prominent notice on offrd.net. Continued use of Offrd after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
